Early Childhood Education
Our Commitment As A Club
Vision: Every Delaware child should have a high-quality early education experience.
Strategic Focus: Services for young children 0-5 and their families in the City of Wilmington and State of Delaware.
90% of the brain is formed by age 5
Only 1 in 7 children under age 5 have access to publicly funded early care and education experiences
We rank 42nd in access Pre-K among other States
Fewer than 50% of kids are Kindergarten ready
Programs can barely pay minimum wage to educators
Parents cannot work because of waiting lists and costs of childcare
